Mariachi Tequila is a flexible sized band of authentic professional Latino musicians specializing in traditional Mexican popular Mariachi music, and Latin American music in general. They stand out from other Mariachi bands for their amazing versions of Pop and Rock music hits, which can be specially ordered for a Wedding or product launch.
The band consists of Singer, Trumpets, Guitar, bass Guitarron, Violin, Accordion and harmonious Voices. They can perform from a trio up to 8 or more musicians. Mexican traditional Folk dancers can also be added to the spectacle.
The music is exciting, vibrant and instantly appealing, and combined with the authentic and colourful costumes of the band, they make a real spectacle. They are a great fun Mariachi band, and a lovely, personable group of musicians, and thoroughly punctual and trustworthy for travelling long distances from their London base. Their repertoire includes some of the music performed by the Mariachi Doritos band, with whom Mariachi Tequila has no connection or involvement.
The band can play acoustically in one spot, or promenade around a venue.
For an audience in the know, any famous Mexican song can be requested from their enormous repertoire, and will be played on the spot, for example the much loved "Las Mañanitas" for a birthday. Following demand from their recent TV appearances, they also offer a good selection of English pop songs sung in Mariachi style, eg "Don't you want me Baby" and quite a few more, including:

If you have a favourite song you would love them to play, they will be delighted to consider arranging it for you, as they often do for weddings.
They are ideal for: a wedding, party, corporate event, a romantic serenade, or "serenata", travel show or exhibiton, art gallery, product launch, TV shows, films and adverts, a Mexican or Spanish theme night, school night, festival, street party, shopping centre, Mexican or Spanish themed parties - and much more, and have played at many of all of these.
They have also played many diverse roles on TV shows (eg. BBC Strictly, ITVs comedy Off Their Rockers), serious films (eg BBC2 Drama Lord Lucan), travel exhibitions, The Magic Circle theatre performance, on a double-decker wedding bus, pop-up surprise appearances in a town or countryside location, and many more fun and exciting occasions, and often arrive as a surprise at parties, office events or weddings. They can even arrive at the door of your beloved's house/office to play them a serenade and present a bunch of flowers - a beautiful way of celebrating a birthday or anniversary. They have coined the original "Tequila- gram" and "Mariachi-gram" - you heard it first here!
Since its formation in 1996 the group has played at hundreds of reputable venues in London and others cities in the UK and abroad, for film premieres, Embassies and celebrities, advertising, including the Blockbuster video advertising campaign where their faces were on advertising hoardings on the London underground and throughout the UK, and on Television (recently on Big Brother, Graham Norton, 'Off their Rockers', ITV Lucan film drama, and much more).
They have also performed at all the weekend dates of London's mega Hyde Park Festival, supporting the Rolling Stones, Lionel Ritchie, Jenifer Lopez, Bon Jovi, Paul Young and many more...including the West Dean Chilli Fiesta (5 consecutive years), Tynemouth and Jersey Festivals, to name but 3.
